After the “Seasonal” and “Anime” themes, we’re now bringing you interviews with the creators featured in the “Others” category.
Both of these artists are long-time participants who have continued to share their work with us over multiple seasons. In fact, the two “Others” theme works from Summer25—Eggie’s Battle and Nova—were also created by them.

One is 魚山春鮫, known for his CG-based creative style, and the other is Neil, who draws inspiration from observing his cat “Eggie,” blending everyday life into his art.
We’re delighted to once again share their stories and creative insights with you.

Title: Aetheria
Creator: 魚山春鮫

1. Hi! 魚山春鮫, congratulations on being selected again! Your latest work, “Aetheria,” has a noticeably different atmosphere compared to your previous Summer25 piece, “Nova.” Could you share the core concept behind this creation?
Thank you very much for giving me this opportunity.
My previous work, “Nova,” was inspired by the Big Bang, with an overall black tone to convey explosive impact.

This time, I wanted to create a piece that contrasts with “Nova”, so I chose white as the main tone to express a sense of mystery, resulting in “Aetheria.”

In terms of scale, I hoped it could match the cosmic theme of “Nova”, so I drew inspiration from “Aether” in ancient Greek mythology—the substance of the heavens—and expanded this concept into the design of the piece.

2. Did you use Blender for this piece as well? Were there any new technical challenges or breakthroughs during the creation process?
This piece was also created using Blender.
Technically, there weren’t entirely new challenges; I mainly applied my previous experience to complete it. To intuitively shape forms, I primarily used the Sculpt function to model objects in CG.

To preserve the overall mysterious atmosphere, I used an extremely high polygon count for the base, which put a heavy load on the computer and made operations very laggy. As a result, reducing the polygon count in the later stages became one of the main challenges.

3. Will your upcoming creations continue this series, or are you thinking of exploring different themes?
At the moment, I don’t have plans to continue a space-themed series. However, I find the process of taking a tangible or fictional element or substance—as I did this time—and expanding it into a full artwork very enjoyable, so I’d like to try something similar again in the future.

4. Is there any memorable experience from your creative journey that you’d like to share?
The most memorable experiences for me have been participating in VAXEE’s seasonal design events. I’ve entered a total of four times, with all works based on CG. The first two attempts didn’t get selected for commercialization, but I didn’t give up. On my third try, I finally achieved PA / PA M commercialization, which made me incredibly happy.

This time, thanks to everyone’s support, I’m honored to have achieved first place in my category.
Also, I haven’t actually handled a PE L yet, so I’m personally considering buying one (laughs).

5. Is there anything else you’d like to say to everyone? And how can fans who like your work find you?
I’m truly grateful to everyone who supported me this time.
I will continue creating in the future, and I hope for your continued support.

I mainly share my works on X (@osakana_hal) and also put a lot of effort into visual presentation. If you’re interested, please be sure to check it out!

Other #2
Title: Wild Eggie
Creator: Neil

1. Hello, Neil. “Wild Eggie” is your fourth work to stand out in the online voting. Could you share how your creative style or ideas have changed over the course of these events?
First of all, thank you everyone for your votes and to VAXEE for hosting the event. Eggie is thrilled that he gets to add more snacks and is happily shouting out loud.
As for the creative process, I’ve consistently aimed to show everyone the many sides of Eggie. Previously, I focused on presenting a cute image, but this time I quickly decided to center the theme around coolness. Why? Because he recently fought me, and I was truly impressed by his sheer boldness!

2. In your previous work, “Eggie’s Battle,” you incorporated gaming elements, while this time you added motorcycles. Could you share your inspiration during creation and how you settled on the theme?

As I mentioned earlier, we recently had a little scuffle. The main reason was that while I was scrolling on my phone while patting his rear, he probably thought I wasn’t paying attention, or that I accidentally touched his side, which upset him. He turned to strike me, and although I immediately apologized, he didn’t accept it. After a few back-and-forth rounds, I got slightly bruised but eventually reconciled, and I realized that such a spirited Eggie needed to be shared with everyone.

I chose motorcycles to express his coolness because my first motorcycle was a manual bike. In the artwork, there are two motorcycles: one is my very first bike, now retired, and the other is my current ride.

I think manual bikes are cool, and Eggie is cool—putting them together makes the ultimate combination of coolness. I hope everyone enjoys it!

3. Your works often combine elements of everyday life and gaming, with the cat “Eggie” as the central character, rendered in black-and-white line art to create a unique style. Will you continue with this style in the future, or are you thinking of trying something different?
Eggie is a mischievous white tabby cat, and his naturally playful nature always brings a lot of joy to my life. In the future, I believe his personality will continue to inspire many ideas and creative concepts for me.
As for trying other styles, if the opportunity arises, I would like to explore them as well—perhaps showing Eggie in a whole new way.

4. Do you have any memorable stories from your creative experience that you’d like to share?
I usually create my artwork at home, but there’s always a little troublemaker causing chaos. It’s rare that I can work for a long stretch uninterrupted—often Eggie will lie on my drawing board or distract me in various ways, or I have to get up to play with him. I can only continue creating once his energy (HP) is completely drained.

5. Is there anything else you’d like to say to everyone? And how can fans who like your work find you?
Lastly, I want to thank everyone again for your support. I hope you all like Eggie—Eggie thanks you too (I guess).
For those who enjoy my work, you can look forward to the next VAXEE event. Please continue to follow VAXEE, and thank you!
