#1 (Frost Wanderer)

1. Please introduce yourself first.
Hello everyone, I'm Tio.fan. First, I'd like to thank VAXEE for providing this platform where I can collaborate with all the players to create our own mouse pad!
I'm an experienced designer (with 16 years in the industry), but I'm not quite an old man yet—let's say I'm a young uncle in my early 30s, haha!
I love design and competitive FPS games, and I enjoy ranking up with my buddies.

2. When did you start creating? Do you have any special stories to share with us?
I've been involved in the design industry since 2009, and today I want to share a little story about my growth. My experience is essentially a reflection of this work.
At the beginning, I was a true introvert—didn't talk much, and just making eye contact with colleagues or my boss would make my face turn red and my heart race. I was so nervous I could barely speak. But now, I can confidently deliver a speech in front of thousands of people and totally hold the stage. Quite a transformation, right?
When I first started doing design, I felt like the little swordsman in my work—not very skilled, but with big ambitions. I practiced relentlessly every day, trying to make myself stronger. Back then, I wasn't just introverted, but also really lacking in confidence. However, through constant hard work, I started achieving some results in the design industry, winning several awards, and in 2016, I earned the title of “Top 10 Visual Designers in China.” At that moment, I truly felt like I had made it!
Since then, I've become much more confident and made a lot of new friends, along with setting new goals. Now, I'm the Vice President of a group company, primarily responsible for branding. Although I have less time for design and even less time for gaming, my passion for design and FPS games has never changed.
Through my work, I want to share with everyone that the early stages of growth are bound to be tough and lonely. In the distance, it's not just towering mountains you face, but also harsh environments, unknowns, and challenges. However, as long as we keep pushing forward and face everything with courage, there will always be good results waiting for us in the end.

3.  Please share the creative inspiration and process behind your Winter24 submission.
The inspiration for this creation actually comes from the manga *Vagabond*. I've already expressed what I wanted to say above!

4. For friends who enjoy your work, how can they find you?
This part is a bit tricky. I don't really use Bilibili or Weibo—I just browse without posting anything. I'm more active on design platforms (but since most people don't have accounts there, I won't post on those). I'll share my inactive Weibo account instead. I plan to participate again next year when I have more time, so feel free to leave me messages with any styles or content you'd like to see. Next year, we can create something together!

#2 (Snowfall)

1. Please introduce yourself first.
Hello everyone, my name is Oclay. I feel very honored to have this precious opportunity. Thank you very much!

2. When did you start creating? Do you have any special stories to share with us?
It probably started during high school. However, I haven't received any formal education in design or art, nor have I been in such an environment; I was just a very ordinary student. Because of this, I have a longing for creating something and for the very concept of "creativity." So, I began to try making music, taking photos, and producing videos. Although these activities were just my superficial attempts, I quietly engaged in these creative endeavors.

3.  Please share the creative inspiration and process behind your Winter24 submission.
Fundamentally, I hope to continue the beautiful imagery from the submissions for the PA Winter 22 call for entries, which is also how I learned about the VAXEE submission event. Therefore, I decided early on to participate with a seasonal theme. The next step was the process of materializing the imagery in my mind, which naturally led to the completion of the work. I focused on the theme of snow falling from the clouds in the sky, accumulating and resembling clouds in a cycle, emphasizing their similarity and symmetry. I aimed to express the brightness of winter and the warmth of winter days, making the work easy to understand.

4. For friends who enjoy your work, how can they find you?
Since I don't usually consider graphic design as my main area of creation, I hope to keep this part of my work private, and I appreciate your understanding.

5. Is there anything else you would like to say to everyone?
First of all, I really want to thank everyone who voted for my work. Personally, I don't like the creator to stand out more than the work itself, so I didn't engage in any promotional activities. However, I'm very happy to receive more votes than I expected.
If everyone enjoys "Snowfall" and is willing to get a copy, it would be a great honor for me. VAXEE's commitment to the principle of "continuous improvement" makes this excellent event constantly evolve. I hope to be one of the brand's fans in the future and continue to support this event together with all of you.


#3 (Dig a Hole)

1. Please introduce yourself first.
Hello everyone, I'm 貓貓液鴨機. You can call me 貓貓 or MaoMao!

2. When did you start creating? Do you have any special stories to share with us?
I started creating just two days before the submission deadline, but from the moment I saw this event, I knew I wanted to design elements related to Cat.
The most fun part of the process was coming up with an English name for the mouse pad (my English isn't very good).
The content of the piece is actually a snow cave, and my first thought was to call it "Dig A Hole," but that felt too plain.
So, I asked my friends who are good at English for suggestions. They thought "Snow Paws" was pretty nice, or something cute like "Meow Meow." However, after much thought, I didn't go with those options. Instead, I sent VAXEE the name "Meow Meow Dug a Hole in the Snow."
VAXEE said, "No! ✋ That name is too long; please come up with a shorter one that's no more than 12 words." So, my friends teased me about it. After shortening the phrase, "Dig A Hole" was born! 

My boyfriend said the name I came up with has a youthful charm, but he noticed that a cute name like the one in the artwork would also be well-received, so he praised me for it! 🤣

3.  Please share the creative inspiration and process behind your Winter24 submission.
My boyfriend has two adorable cats, and they absolutely love to squeeze into any hidden spot, never missing a single hole. During the creation process, I intentionally chose a perspective where the cats are watching, so that when you use this mouse pad, it feels like the cats are trying to catch the mouse or your hand in the hole! It's really cute!
