#1 (Quacking)

1.  Hello, Maomao. This is your second time being selected. In your previous work, you mentioned using cats as a recurring theme, which was well-received. However, this time you chose a duck theme instead. Could you share the inspiration and concept behind this creation?
First of all, thank you everyone for your recognition and support of my work! When I was brainstorming ideas, the first thing that came to mind was a summer pond. By chance, I came across a video of a duck diving into the water to forage, and I found it playful and cute. That’s how the idea of combining lotus leaves and ducks came about. In terms of composition, I continued using a single upward or downward perspective, so that when using the mouse pad, the mouse becomes the focal point of the image—creating a feeling as if you’re teasing the little animals with your mouse.

2.  Is creating art your main job, or is it more of a hobby for you?
Creating art is a personal hobby of mine and isn’t closely related to my job. In my free time, I create on my own and share my work on social media.

3.  Has having your work turned into a product had a positive impact on your life?
It has definitely had a positive impact. It represents appreciation and recognition from everyone for my work, and it gives me more motivation when creating.

4.   At what age did you start creating art, and what inspired you to begin?
I’ve been very interested in drawing since I was little—by the time I was 10, the walls at home were already covered with my drawings. I would constantly look for inspiration in all kinds of animated shows, imagining what it would be like if I were a character in them. I’d draw while watching cartoons and never got tired of it.

5.   Besides creating art, are you also a gamer?
Yes! Outside of creating art, I often play games with my boyfriend—especially various FPS games. Unfortunately, I’m not very good at them yet, but I’m working hard to improve my skills!

6.   How did you find out about the VAXEE design submission event?
I heard about the VAXEE submission event from my boyfriend. He’s a huge gaming enthusiast and an esports gear fan, always sharing all kinds of knowledge about peripherals with me. He really likes VAXEE’s products and strongly encouraged me to join the contest when he found out about it.

7. Is there anything else you’d like to say to everyone?

My name is L4tte. I’m truly honored to have been given this opportunity.
Thanks in advance for your support!

2. When did you start creating art? If you have any special experiences, please share them as well.
I began creating art in my first year of high school. At first, it was just something casual, but over time I became more dedicated and tried various forms of creation such as logo design, thumbnail creation, and 3D computer graphics.

Currently, I’m applying these experiences in my work related to design.

3. Please share the inspiration and process behind your Summer25 entry.
The inspiration came from the fireworks I saw last summer.
I’ve always been a big fan of VAXEE’s products and have loved their designs for a long time. This piece was deeply influenced by that.

If people are happy to hold my work in their hands, I would be very glad.

4. For fans who like your work, how can they find you?
At the moment, aside from work, I’m not really active in design-related activities, so I’m not sharing my accounts publicly. Thank you for your understanding.

5. Is there anything else you’d like to say to everyone?
I’m truly grateful to every friend who voted for me this time.
If I have the chance, I’d love to participate in the next event as well, and I hope for your continued support!
