After announcing the new brand, we received a lot of messages from our friends. With our background in esports many are naturally curious if we will be releasing esports products. As we mentioned in our brand announcement:

This is why we will work with those who have a genuine passion for esports and help them launch their own esports gear brands. At the same time, they will invest part of their profits into community / grassroots projects or help regions which don’t have a very robust esports scene.

Now we will briefly introduce our first batch of partners. They may not be global stars, but their pure passion for esports, and especially CS:GO is what drove us to partner with them.

Zhengwei “alex” Bian

China’s first CS1.6 world champion, alex, took first place at WEG 2005 and WEG Masters 2006 with team wNv. They beat out SK Gaming, 4Kings, Team Catch-Gamer, Team9, NoA, and many others. He was a pioneer, putting China on the global CS map and has continued to carry forward the momentum he created even after retiring by coaching, creating CSGO teams, and putting out content online.

Now a CS:GO analyst, alex also spends his spare time breaking down footage of matches.

Junya “noppo” Taniguchi

noppo is one of the most iconic names in Japanese CS. His passion for CS pushed him to travel to Sweden, where he studied Swedish and began competing. After retiring, he realized that there was a lack of Japanese CS competitions. Although he did not manage to achieve the goals he set for himself while competing, he has continued to channel his passion for esports by founding Utage in 2018 to provide a platform for players who are passionate about CS:GO.

noppo continues to be active in esports. In his free time, he organizes online CS:GO tournaments for the community in Japan.

Both these countries face a different set of challenges and therefore the “pay it back” plan will also be executed differently.

China’s CS:GO scene faces challenges in recruiting new blood. alex will be focusing on the educational aspect of CS:GO, both online and offline to help people develop their interest in the game while guiding them through proper perspectives and practice habits.

What Japan needs is more opportunities to compete, so noppo will be using his platform Utage to organize more tournaments so that players can focus on consistent practice and competition for CS:GO.

We hope that through these collaborations with our enthusiastic and committed partners, we can create a solid foundation for eports. By sharing the expertise and experience from our past, and supporting their brands, we believe they can better focus on helping their communities.

This is just the start. Over time, we will be expanding on these plans in a sustainable way.
